ProImha Secure Destruction Case Study
In this project, secure destruction was requested for 16,621 hard disks by our customer, which is one of Turkey's most valuable financial institutions.
The destruction service had to be done with a professional company and the company providing the service had to have ISO 9001 certificate.
Among our customer's requests were; fully secure transportation, personnel assignment within the confidentiality agreement, hard disk destruction certificate and environmentally friendly recycling service.
This work had to be carried out with a full responsibility and meticulous certification process. Hard disks had to be received from two separate locations and destruction work had to be done at the facility.
OUR DESTRUCTION PROCESS
Hard disks were received from two separate locations of the financial institution in our high-security vans, inside our locked container wagons. Our company-approved 'non-hazardous waste transport form' was delivered to our customer. Hard disks received from both locations were transferred to our destruction facility on the same day. Weighing operations were carried out.
Destruction was carried out by shredding in a high-capacity mechanical grinder. Video recordings were taken during the destruction process and transferred to a USB memory. The destruction process took 2 days.
Hard disks of various brands and models were read one by one with barcode devices with their serial numbers and recorded in our database, with security measures taken within the facility.
Destruction was carried out by shredding in a high-capacity mechanical grinder.
Our entire destruction process, which lasted two days, was video recorded and transferred to a USB memory to be delivered to our customer at the end of the process.
After the destruction process, the non-hazardous wastes that occurred were delivered to the recycling facility and a "recycling" report was received.
After successful destruction, separate certificates were issued for the financial institution for both locations and delivered together with destruction images.
Our customer, by properly performing and recording all the procedures specified in the Personal Data Protection Law dated 24/3/2016 and numbered 6698 and the law on the destruction of personal data, ensured the legal compliance in the destruction of hard disks within its organization.
